The five inaugural members of the Medical Advisory Board are:

Dr. Matthew Finnegan, MD, FACS, FCCWS – Dr. Finnegan has made considerable contributions to the art and science of wound healing, helping to develop a physician-directed, nurse practitioner-managed, patient-centered wound care model that has become the standard of care.  He currently serves as the Chief, Division of General Surgery at Lourdes Health System in Camden, NJ and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery with Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Finnegan is also the Medical Director of Lourdes Medical Associates Surgical Specialists and the surgical consultant at Magee Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, PA.  He directs the Lourdes-Magee program to provide care to the most complex wounds in patients with spinal cord injury. The benefits of this program have been presented at national and international forums as a model of clinical excellence.  Previously, Dr. Finnegan served as the Director of the Institute of Wound Healing and Limb Preservation at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.  He received his MD from Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Scott Howell, DO, MA, MPH&TM, CPE, MBA – Dr. Howell  is the Chief Medical Officer of Vitality Health Plan of California, the first full Knox Keene licensed Medicare Advantage plan approved by the Department of Managed Care in California in the last decade.  Previously, Dr. Howell served as CMO for AdvantMed; Executive Medical Director at Heritage Provider Network; National Senior Medical Director and CMO for Network and Population Health, Optum Insight; Regional CMO for the Northeast Region of Americhoice, Inc. (United Health Group); Medical Director for Managed Care at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation; and Lead Scientific Advisor to Management Sciences for Health, the prime contractor for the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Haiti. Dr. Howell is board certified in Family Practice, Preventative Medicine and Public Health and Addiction Medicine.  He received his Masters in Economics from the University of Miami, Masters in Public Health & Tropical Medicine (MPH&TM) from Tulane University, MBA from California State University Fresno and he is certified by the American College of Physician Executives as a Certified Physician Executive (CPE).

Mr. Larry Jones – Mr. Jones is the Chief Executive Officer of HPOF Holdings, LLC, doing business as Independent Healthcare Partners, located in Maitland, Florida. He oversees numerous Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), Management Services Organizations (MSOs), Medicare Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and IPA Commercial Value-Based Agreements which are comprised of over 1,000 multi-specialty physicians in 8 counties over the Central Florida area. Mr. Jones is a founding board member of the Florida Association of Accountable Care Organizations (FLAACOS) and a member of the National Association of ACOs (NAACOS).  He served  on the Business Advisory Board of Seminole County Public Schools in Florida for 12 years, representing the insurance committee for over 9000 employees’ lives and almost $60 Million in premiums.  Mr. Jones is a nationally-recognized health policy expert and physician advocate who regularly publishes and speaks at healthcare forums across the United States.  His background encompasses over 25 years of experience on both the payer and provider side of healthcare. Mr. Jones’ mission is to preserve and protect the independent practice of medicine.

Dr. Bruce Kinosian, MD – Dr. Kinosian is a practicing geriatrician at the Cpl Michael J Crescenz Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Philadelphia, and at the University of Pennsylvania Health System where he is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Perelman School of Medicine.   He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM), currently serving as its Treasurer.    His research is focused on the care of medically and socially complex elders in the community, with an emphasis on integrating care across systems. For over 20 years, Dr. Kinosian has been involved in economic and clinical evaluations of both clinical trials and demonstration projects in delivery of pharmaceuticals and models of care for complex, multi-morbid elders in both the VA and for those covered solely by Medicare and Medicaid.  He holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MD from the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Alexander Stojadinovic, MD, MBA, FACS – Dr. Stojadinovic is a surgical oncologist with an impressive mix of healthcare and business expertise. He currently serves as the Medical Director, Healthcare Management Services for Amerigroup, Texas, Anthem, Inc., one of the leading health plans in the US.  Dr. Stojadinovic previously established and served as Medical Director of the Complex Wound and Limb Salvage Center at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Regional Director of the Bon Secours Cancer Institute and Vice Chairman, Department of Surgery at WRAMC. He has built enduring international private-public partnerships to support innovative research and value-based initiatives, raised over $30M in research funding, earned four Professorships and published over 255 peer-reviewed manuscripts.  He is a retired Colonel with the US Army Medical Corps.  Dr. Stojadinovic received his MD from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, following which he completed his residency in general surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and a fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  He graduated at the top of his class with a healthcare-focused Physician Executive MBA from the Nation’s preeminent physician-only degree program at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s Haslam College of Business.
